In this Rise 360 course, new volunteers at New Horizons Adult Day Center will participate in the 30-40 minute training for volunteers. The onboarding includes identifying the history and purpose of the non-profit, differentiating the roles and responsibilities of a volunteer, effective communication strategies for working with adults with disabilities, safety procedures, and how to maintain professional boundaries.
